Thank you dear Rose!!

Inspired by Dutch winter

My brother sent me this picture a week ago.

The black, bare branches and the snow covert ice inspired me to make this beautiful skirt!

once upon a very warm day...

I just couldn't help myself. The bright sun inspired me to make this colorful bloomer. Autumn clothes will just have to wait....

Hello!!

I am Mijke (May-ka) Hoogervorst.
I am from the Netherlands and moved to Australia three years ago.

When our daughter was born one and a half year ago I felt inspired to design her own clothes. I got great response and I now make little girls clothing from size 0000 to 3 under the name little rose and sell them on a local market.
I design and make everything myself with my daughter Rose as my personal model, at least when she feels like it...
The designs are unique as I only make a couple of each!
As I am Dutch, the clothes I design are a mix of Australian and Dutch influences. I get a lot of my material and vintage ribbons from overseas and mix them with local fabrics.
I started a stall on the market in Maitland NSW a couple of months ago with my friend Marleen and we both love it. It is so wonderful to do something you really love and it's even better when people like the things you have created!

Luckily my inspiration source is never ending as my little Rose is always near!
